Bodytoning exercises using resistance

Toning is a combination of the body losing fat and gaining muscle. This is the same for men and women. To help this aim during our outdoor training sessions we use bodyweight exercises. When needed, though, we can add some additional resistance to create bodytoning exercises.

And this resistance can come from resistance bands, kettlebells, or simply a heavy rucksack. The advantage of being outdoors is that, unlike a regular gym, there is only a limited amount of resistance available. No vast racks of dumbbells or weight plates. Why is this an advantage? Because most of our clients don’t want big muscles, they would prefer a lean, athletic look. This requires a more well-rounded training programme that doesn’t just focus on strength training with bigger and bigger weights.
